Summer Dreams

The recent hot days here in SoCal have me longing for a lazy afternoon spent on the Blue Ridge Parkway. As a kid we would go to the mountains on any random Sunday for a picnic. Wade in the streams, look for tiny fish and generally meander about. Lunch would be cold homemade fried chicken with cold watermelon for dessert. Heaven!
